Scythians: Nomadic Warriors of the Ancient World

The Scythians were a group of ancient Iranian-speaking nomadic people who inhabited the Eurasian steppes from the 9th century BCE to the 4th century CE. They were known for their skilled horsemanship, military prowess, and nomadic way of life. The territory they roamed extended from the northern Black Sea region across the Central Asian steppes to the Altai Mountains in the east.
